Method #2: Chrome Better History Extension

Google Chrome has a rich extension that expands its capability into the infinity. The developer which called Dark Shadow created Chrome Better History extension that lets you back to the past, picks up the forgotten URL and bring it to the future. But, to be fair, the extension itself was not really cool as the names suggest. It only adds the custom sort by date features along with 2012-style Chrome history page. However, that still helps you encounter this situation, isn’t?

Step 2
Click Add to Chrome button. The extension itself only 77 KB in size.

Unlike Chrome Better History, History Trends extension doesn’t interrupt default browser history page. Instead, it creates its own page to displays the history in a statistic style. Perhaps this extension not designed to sort history by date, but it generates a report about your whole browser record by year, months, week, and day. So, you still able to find out what sites you have been visited on a specific date.

Wait until the report loaded perfectly. Then you can select a certain date to look out browser activity at that time. Please note that History Trends only grab data from Google Chrome browser solely, not including Google My Activity.
