Google had major influences on our daily life. From search engine into the mobile operating system, most of us already using one (or more) services from Google. And now I’m going to get rid of the Google Search Bar widget on the top of Infinix Android phone screen or XOS launcher in particular.

Every time the vendor updating its launcher, you may see additional features or improvements coming to the screen. Some of them are pretty neat, while unexpected stuff also appeared without asking the user. I also removed ‘annoying’ Application Recommendation on the previous article.

The Google Search Bar itself was actually a bundle from Google made for phone manufacturer in order to engage customer using that proprietary search engine. However, the widget claiming overall home screen area which makes other apps icon look smaller.

If you are an Infinix user, rarely using Google Search Bar and wanna get rid of it, let me show you the way.

After applying the settings, Google Search Bar should be not appeared on the home screen.

In my opinion, that widget is less likely to use since Google has already involving search engine ability on its own Google Assistant. Furthermore, Google Chrome as the Android default browser also comes with Google Search Engine as the main search engine.

Hence, I can conclude that Android had too many comparable features that actually not necessary. That’s not only happened on the Infinix’s XOS but also those Android phones brand out there.

Okay, hopes the article helps you, guys. Since I’m owning an Infinix phone, perhaps another related post would also be released in the future.
