Google as the creator always giving new updates to ensure that its project always relevant to the age. Put simply, it has merged security system into the convenient way so the user can through it seamlessly. For example, you can make Android always unlocked while the device is moving around. Google has deployed some updates including Android 5.0 that contains Smart Lock features to allowing user unlock their phone without a password, PIN, pattern, fingerprint, or facial recognition. In fact the phone able to stay unlocked while it’s on you at least when the phone is moving.
In order to activate this Smart Lock features, please note that your phone has an adequate sensor and runs on the most recent Android version (Android Lollipop or above). Use this app to see embedded sensors on the phone.
How to Make Android Always Unlocked When You Moving
Go to Android Settings and select Security.
On the Device security, select Smart Lock.
Since we’re going to make the Android always unlocked while moving, tap the On-body detection.
Toggle the switcher from Off to On.
The Smart Lock will warn you that it can’t distinguish who is using the phone, tap Continue to confirm.
Use of on-body detection
Once you unlock the device, it remains unlocked as long it senses a movement. When you put down the phone on the tablet, it will take about 1 minute to automatically lock. The on-body detection also detects if you walk even learns the pattern of your walk thus it can decided when it should lock. For non-stationary activity, such as on the bus, train, or car the device might take from 5 to 10 minutes to automatically lock itself.
In addition, when you are on the boat or airplane, the Smart Lock system wouldn’t lock the phone. Hence you need to manually lock it on those conditions. This features only available for a phone with a built-in accelerometer. It able to stays the phone unlocked while individual apps still require traditional security, like fingerprint, PIN, or password.
Remember that on-body detection cannot distinguish you or someone else. In case the phone has stolen, the thief may able to access your phone. Therefore, please ensure that this feature is suitable for your activity.
